As some of you may know through me going on about it on our twitter, I went to the EG Expo on Saturday and caught the Mm developer conference and it was awesome! Below are some videos of the conference. But be warned, I am not the worlds best camera man, if anything I’m probably the worlds worst camera man. So expect some shakiness and other bad qualities.

But before we get into the videos, let me talk a little about the goings on of the day.

The first thing I done when I got there was find the conference and I have to admit the conference was definitely the best part of the day. The conference started with Danny Leaver and John(ee) Beach on stage talking about some of the new create features in LBP2 like the grapple hook, movers, etc etc. On stage playing LBP2 while Danny and John talked about it was Christoph (is that how you spell his name?) and community member GrantosUK.

Later on they done a live create session where they got people from the crowed to shout out ideas for the level, this did get quite funny and proved how randomly fun LittleBigPlanet can be. I won’t go into detail about the create session as I’ve got a video for it, so it’s better to just watch it.

Through out the conference they played a couple levels “Lift Off” which is a playable level in the beta and a level called “Close Shave” this level hasn’t been shown before, but you can watch it in one of the videos below.

After the conference Tom and Spaff were hanging out at the LBP2 booth, at the LBP2 booth tom was giving out LBP goodies, but to get these goodies we were previously told to bring along a drawing or piece of LBP related art, place it in Tom or Spaffs hands, then go in for an awesome high five. :P

I couldn’t resist such an awesome ritual so I brought along a sackboy drawing. There was a very long queue lined up to high five tom and give him their art. Tom’s hand must of been hurting by the end of the day. :P

Through out the day Tom and Spaff were seeing to everyone at the LBP2 booth, saying hello and generally being awesome community managers. Spaff stopped to say hello and have a chat with me for a bit, it was a little strange meeting Tom and Spaff considering we all sort of know them well through the Internet, but they are great guys and are awesome at their job.

So the rest of the day was just hanging around the LBP2 booth and every now and then going off to check out some of the other games there was. But all in all it was an awesome day and i can’t wait to do it again next year. Now that’s enough of hearing about my day, it’s time to watch some videos. :)

Here is a video of Danny Leaver and John(ee) Beach showcasing a story level called “Lift Off”

In this video is a previously unseen story level called “Close Shave” after playing the level they take a look at it in create mode and walk through how it’s made.

Next up is two videos of community members creating

Here is two videos of the live create session.

Awesome! I went yesterday, I brought along pictures but I got shy so I didn’t give them in. I was thinking of asking one of the devs about the GCSEs and A Levels required to get a job in the gaming industry but again, I was shy. However, I did play all the beta levels on LBP2 and play around in create mode and it was awesome. See you next year, Eurogamer!

No. :( Sad face iz sadz

But at least I had a good time, I also played Motorstorm 3d and AC Brotherhood and some other good stuff. I laughed when the 18s section was blocked off so we couldn’t even see it.

Really need help making levels in this game (I have 1 or 2 ideas but wouldn’t know how to turn them into decent levels).Plus the quality of these videos are poor as I can hardly see whats happening on the screen.

Hey, everyone, I went to EuroGamer on the sunday with ‘AssassinatorRFC’. Despite getting a bit confused with tube travel, we got there on time and played lbp2 for about 4 hours solid near the end of the day :) We made a self created roller coaster by using the creatinator to emmit a piece of floating glass infront of sackboy, we called tom and the team over to have a look, and they were very happy :) they even told us to give them our email adresses so we can get in the LBP2 BETA… It was an awesome day, got all their autographs and photos and even rex drew a picture for me XD Had nice chats with ‘jackofcourse’ and ‘GruntosUK’ about what they were making at expo. AWESOME SAUCE!
