Sony seems to have lost a step in the battle of consoles. Little Big Planet, considered Sony’s flagship title for the holiday season, has posted sales well behind Microsoft’s Gears of War 2. GOW2 debuted at #1 on the UK charts while Little Big Planet came in at #4.
These titles have both been marketed widely and both are console exclusives but it seems that blood and gore is beating out cute and joyful. This news is particularly bad for Sony considering that Little Big Planet had a 2 day head start on GOW 2 as it was released on November 5th and GOW 2 on the 7th.
At Little Big Land we feel that as we get closer to Christmas the joy of the holiday season will inspire all the would-be dreamers to lay down their guns and choose to rather play in the wonderful world that is Little Big Planet.
