Over at LittleBigWorkshop there is a new monthly competition going on, and the winner gets a coveted crown!
The first month of the competition has already passed, but a new one is just starting to spool up. Since it is February, the judges decided to incorporate a 2X challenge into the theme to celebrate Valentines Day.

Kockle has brought to our attention another chance to get your little sack hands on a crown. An e-mail was sent out in regards to the Free Sackboy Promotion that Mm is doing for Europe, and in it was written:
“if you are a keen creator and want a Sackboy crown, send us your levels name to littlebigplanet@scee.net. At the end of every month we giveaway one shiny Crown for the best creator that month.”
Sadly, it seems that this promotion is only for those who call Europe their home. Thanks for the info Kockle!
MediaMolecule.com just posted some cool pictures of a scrapbook that was sent to them from some LBP super-fans.
Lojinx and kodymcq were the two creative members of the LBP community who sent in the scrapbook, and for this fine gift to Mm they each received a crown. Well done guys!

Let me say before anything else: I do NOT hate the people who do heart-for-heart, just the actual idea. I almost didn’t publish this, I got pretty discouraged after playing all these good entries. 
Your sackperson’s job of running and jumping can get tiresome. So, you decide to take a vacation to the paradise known as LittleBigLand! Unfortunately, peaceful LittleBigLand has been taken over with these wretched "h4h" messages. The messages then turn into real hearts- and LittleBigLand is flooded with them. Now you need to journey to the source of the hearts and save LittleBigLand! P.S. You get the robot (in picture) if you ace this level, and if you collect all gifts you get the rocket ship. It can be tricky, but it’s worth it!
I hope you enjoy, it took a month to make (I saw this contest in early Feb and I’ve been working on the level since)! And I will also repeat: I do NOT hate the people who heart-for-heart.

Cast your mind back a month to this competition in which Sony asked for level submissions (from US level designers only) that celebrated the PlayStation 3`s second birthday. The LittleBigWorkshop have now announced the winners who each win one of the limited edition Sackboy Crowns.

Out of the hundreds of submissions received a further 15 levels were selected for `honourable mentions`. The really good news is that all of the level designers featured will be given the Metal Gear Solid Premium Level Pack – due for arrival next week -including all of the honourable mentions. Congratulations!
Maybe in the next competition `the rest of the world` can participate? No? 
Sony are running a Little Big Planet level contest. You are tasked with designing a level that celebrates the PlayStation 3’s second birthday and the competition is for US residents only.
First prize is a big, shiny, exclusive crown that will be made available to competition winners as a download. The more hearts your level gets to more of a chance you have of winning.
We have to laugh at the irony in this completion as many of the levels that have paid homage to the PlayStation 3 have been moderated because of copyright infringement and now Sony are asking LittleBigPlaneteers to design a level celebrating the PlayStation 3 , hmmm.
