This is truly a remarkably exciting glimpse of what the future of Little Big Planet holds
The EU PlayStation store has just been updated. The remaining parts of the free Sackboy Santa costume – the beard and hat – are now available for download, as is the Festive Pack containing the Giftboy and Christmas tree costumes, festive stickers, wrapping paper material, a sleigh, Xmas light and other assorted Christmas themed objects and decorations. The Festive Pack costs £2.39
Be aware that prior to playing LittleBigPlanet you will be prompted to download the 1.06 25Mb update
Some exciting news has surfaced today regarding the much touted MGS costume: there isn’t one…there are four! Previously only the `Old Solid Snake` costume as seen here had been shown – but in the following video interview, taken at the recent Spike VGA awards show where Media Molecule won Studio of the Year and LBP won best PS3 game of the year, Alex Evans claimed our minds will be blown by forthcoming level packs, even going as far as to say we will completely rethink the way we look at Little Big Planet as they introduce new gameplay features.
As if to add weight to his claim the PlayStation Asia site is today carrying pictures of the Metal Gear Solid 4 level pack, with costumes for Solid Snake, Screaming Mantis, Raiden and Meryl. There are no specifics on what the actual level pack contains, as yet.

According to various other sites this is dated for release 18th December and, if usual convention follows, we should hopefully be able to get our grubby hands on it too. The PlayStation site itself however only provides a non-committal coming soon message
I`m no hero….never was
UPDATE: our friends over at LittleBigPlanetoid have some higher resolution pictures of the costumes here

Ho ho ho!
After yesterday`s sneak peak at next week`s Xmas Costumes, PlayStation Asia has confirmed that the Festive Goodies Pack will be arriving on the 16th in their PlayStation Store. This is what they have to say about it:
Here comes the Christmas goodies pack for LittleBigPlanet™! Buy it and you can get Christmas tree and present costumes, special stickers, decorations and fancy objects!
The Japanese Little Big Planet site is showing not only the Santa costume we get this week and next, but also a further 2 Christmas related costumes. The gift wrapped Sackboy in the bottom right looks like it has a price tag but we are unsure about the Xmas tree, which carries the date of 18th December
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Unfortunately we don`t speak Japanese, so the only legible words we could find on this post found on the Little Big Planet section of the Japanese PlayStation site were `Mixlemoned` and `PlayStation Store` with no obvious date given.
UPDATE: this is the `Kabuki Actor` costume and is a free download
The EU PlayStation Store has recently been updated with this week`s collection of goodies.
We too get the Thanksgiving themed `Turkey Head` costume for free and the Chimera costume, costing £1.59 in the UK and €1.99 in the rest of Europe
