The Road to 7 Million Levels

A huge milestone for LittleBigPlanet yesterday happens, we reached 7 MILLIONS LEVELS! That is incredible; thank you everyone for such an amazing community. Check out this post Media Molecule made for every:

Last night, around the same time Usain Bolt pzwned the 100m sprint at the London 2012 Olympics, the seven millionth level was published to the LittleBigPlanet servers.

 

It’s been nearly four years since LBP was published, and a lot has happened in that time; for the game series, for us, our friends at PlayStation, and for you guys too.

 

We wanted to celebrate this incredible milestone with some hardcore statisfaction - for instance, did you know that there were 37,641 levels published just last week? That’s 5377 levels per day, meaning for every minute of the day, 3.7 levels are uploaded.

    Mm made an awesome game, that people could spread their imagination creations to the world and this is what happens.. 7 Million levels!

    This is awesome. I love how they included even the annoying ones. “Rough guess at total number of heart for hearts: 300 million”. “Number of times players have begged for the spacesuit costume to be re-released: Innumerable.” Lol.
    Reading this whole thing reminds me of how awesome Mm is.

    7 million and I have just started lbp 2.  O_O I want to try the beta for vita, everyone says check email but how do they know my email?  I don’t know how to get the code o.e.  I’d like to have something to play on my vita.  According to youtube everyone who gets beta gets 2 codes I guess.  If thats true would someone mind sharing one?

    I also would like to see some more quality levels on lbp 2 but dont know where to start.  Please let me know some good levels. Thanks and congrats, this game IS fantastic!

      Quality levels:
      Search up Mrmik. He’s got some great platformers. Also, check out the Mm picks, especially the earlier ones, but the new ones are mostly just as good. I also recommend hearting all of your favorite creators and playing their favorite levels. Looking at your favorite creator’s lists are helpful too. I have several lists of my own with a bunch of cool levels, just search me up on lbp.me if you want to see them. Also, use lbp.me a lot, for following (hearting) creators and such. That’s where I find all the levels I play, and it’s great. Building up a large hearted creator’s list will usually get you a lot of quality levels to play, both from your favorite creators and your favorite creator’s favorite creators. :D There are tons of quality levels beyond generic platformers and cool pages stuff if you just dig a little deeper.

        Oh, and be sure to check out Mnniska. His platformers are unprecedented in ingenuity. (Although Mrmik comes really close) Chatchito also has a hilarious video series if you’re up for a laugh, although there is some mild language in the videos. And Festerd_Jester, Weirdy_Beardy, Velvet Audio, Hug-of-war, and more have amazing music galleries if you’re interested in that stuff. This is very few of the great creators around, but you may even want to check my hearted list on lbp.me to find more amazing creators.

    Too bad at LEAST 6 million of those levels are garbage.
